What clients say about Pathways.
Stephanie was incredible! She was very compassionate, sweet, and easy to talk to. Her presence really helped me feel comfortable opening up.
Pathways Counseling Services is a warm, friendly, spa-like environment. From the moment you walk in the door, you can tell that they are there to help, to make you feel welcomed and safe.
Our family has had the best experience at Pathways Counseling Services. My sister is like a different person in a great way! She no longer struggles from the crippling anxiety and OCD that she’s had since we were kids.

Who we help
Therapy for every stage, under one roof.
Children
Play therapy for ages 3 to 12, along with art and guided conversation. Kids say through play what they can’t yet put into words, and we support parents along the way.
Teens
Help with anxiety, stress, low mood and big emotions. No teen is pushed to talk before they’re ready, and parents get check-ins while their privacy is respected.
Adults
One-on-one therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, OCD and life transitions, in person or by secure video.
Couples and marriage
Dating, engaged or married. Sessions usually run 75 minutes so both of you are heard, and your therapist won’t take sides.
Families
Family therapy isn’t about blaming one person. It helps everyone see what isn’t working and find calmer ways to respond to each other.
What we help with
Counseling for the things that weigh on you.
- Anxiety and stress
- Trauma and PTSD
- Depression
- ADD/ADHD
- OCD
- Grief and loss
- Anger
- Bipolar disorder
Approaches our therapists use
EMDR
Helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they lose their charge. Several of our therapists are EMDR-trained or certified.
CBT
Cognitive behavioral therapy: practical skills for changing unhelpful thoughts and patterns.
DBT
Skills for handling intense emotions, including a 7-week DBT skills group.
Play therapy
For ages 3 to 12. Children work through hard experiences with toys, drawing and imagination instead of words.
Couples work: Gottman, EFT and PACT
Structured ways to work on communication, conflict and trust, and to feel close again.
Exposure and mindfulness
Exposure and response prevention for OCD and anxiety, and practical tools for staying grounded.

Why Pathways
Getting help shouldn’t be this hard. Here, it isn’t.
Evenings and Saturdays
Evening and Saturday appointments, depending on clinician availability.
Seen soon, often next day
Most clients can schedule as soon as the next day, sometimes the same day.
Choose your therapist
Read our therapists’ bios and pick who fits. If it isn’t right, switch within the practice and we’ll help with the handoff.
Private pay, private records
We don’t bill insurance, so your diagnosis isn’t reported to an insurer or added to your health record. Superbills are available on request.
One practice, many specialties
Individual, couples, child, teen, family and group therapy, with clinicians who focus on each.
Se habla español
Spanish-speaking support is available. Ask when you call or book.
Your first visit
What to expect, before you walk in.
Your first session
You’ll complete intake paperwork online beforehand. The first session is typically 75 minutes and covers what brings you in, relevant history and the goals you want to work toward.
If you’re starting EMDR
You won’t start with the hardest memory. Your therapist first learns your history and goals, then helps you build inner resources, like a calm place you can picture, before any memory work begins.
If it’s for your child
Play therapy is for ages 3 to 12. Kids work through feelings with toys, drawing and imagination, at their own pace, and you’ll hear from the therapist as a parent too.
